Teachers: A Matter of the Heart, TEDx talk by 826 co-founder Nínive Calegari

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. The greatest asset of the United States is its children who are in school today: they are our future doctors, innovators, teachers and researchers. We trust teachers to maximize children’s learning so they have a path toward a successful future. Given that teachers have such an important role, why, then, are we failing to nurture, cherish and respect them. Why do we fail to pay them well and how can we change that?
