I Am a Camera: Write the City You See [CLASS FULL–WAIT LIST ONLY]
Taught by Maura Kealey Open to 12 students, ages 11–13 A three-week workshop September 16–30 Saturdays, 12–2 p.m. This workshop will explore how creating a story in photographs can prompt telling that story in words. Photographing and writing both make us think and learn in many of the same ways: choosing our focus, dividing the whole into its parts, comparing one thing with another - juxtaposition is as dramatic in pictures as it is in words. The fun part is using our minds in one medium to stimulate our thinking in the other. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a book of photos and stories that you created! To enroll for this workshop fill out the following Google Form: https://goo.gl/forms/6PDZa4QpUlXFvJqK2 After registering, you will receive an email to confirm your place in the workshop.
