What’s News? How to Keep It Responsible and Real, and How to Tell When It's Not
Taught by Ed Cavagnaro and Dory Culver Open to twelve students, ages 13–18 April 8, 15 & 29 Saturdays, 3–5 p.m. You’re never too young to stand up for the truth. In this workshop, you’ll learn about and debate the risks, challenges, and profound importance of responsibly reporting the news, lead by Ed Cavagnaro and Dory Culver, two professional journalists with years of experience in the field. In small groups, you’ll discuss real world news dilemmas and debate the best course of action, and then present your arguments to the class.
