Dystopian Fiction: Writing about an Alternate Future Taught by Megan Turner Open to 12 students, ages 11-13 A three-week workshop September 10-24 Saturdays, 12-2 p.m. What does the future hold? Where will we find ourselves in twenty years if we do not address issues related to poverty, corrupt politics, or law? Dystopian literature asks this and other questions of its readers. In this class, we will explore classic and contemporary dystopian literature by authors such as George Orwell, Margaret Atwood, and Suzanne Collins. In doing so, we will unlock the art of dystopian writing, drafting and sharing our own alternate realties.
